The Sociocultural Sexology Program examines the social, cultural, historical, and political forces that shape human behaviors, experiences and relationalities. This rigorous program draws on cutting-edge research in psychology, gender and sexuality studies, anthropology, history, dance ethnography, ethnomusicology and political science. Participants will explore frameworks from the lenses of disability studies, decolonial theories, postcolonial theories, feminist theories, indigenous theories — developing tools to apply, critique and contextualize with the sociocultural dimensions of human behaviors in professional practices.
