It is non-hierarchical, confidential, anti-capitalist and focused on learning rather than formal clinical evaluation. Who am I?
My name is Nishita Rao. I hold an MS in Neuroscience with a focus on Behavioral Neuroendocrinology and a BE in Biotechnology, specializing in Brain-Computer Interfaces & Phytochemistry. My academic and professional training spans Sexual Sciences, Neuroscience, Anthropology, Molecular Biology, Behavioral Sciences, Political Science, Linguistics, Dance Ethnography and Ethnomusicology.
I have been extensively trained by the US Veterans Health Administration (VHA) on trauma treatment modalities, Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Center (OVC TTAC), National Criminal Justice Training Center (NCJTC) and End Violence Against Women International (EVAWI) on forensics, and gender and sexual violence treatment, case interpretations and criminology, Violet on clinical training (BIPOC,TGNC, LGBQ) and Equitable Care Certification (ECC) on sex-worker-affirming trauma-informed care.
